In order to educate, advocate, support, empower, and reach out to teens in communities in Texas and across the nation, it takes the financial contribution of caring people as you. The operating budget alone is $145,000 which includes the annual salary of the executive director ($50,000), the hiring of a community outreach coordinator ($35,000), developing promotional materials ($15,000), travel to as many schools as is humanly possible ($15,000), and administrative expenses ($30,000).
In order to provide that safe haven at Trella's House, we need to buy and furnish that property and build a security fence (estimated at $695,000), buy a vehicle to transport the teens to and from school (estimated at $30,000), and hire staff to counsel and support these teens (estimated at $75,000). Our goal is to reach that total of $800,000 by the end of 2010.
On the Horizon...
Trella's Foundation is embarking on its most important task of establishing Trella's House, a home for teens where they will be safe; receive counseling, support, and rebuild self worth to keep them from ever entering another violent relationship.
To all of our family, friends, and associates, Trella's Foundation, founded to prevent teen dating violence, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Austin, Texas. We are embarking on our most important task: establishing Trella's House, a home for teens where they will be safe; receive counseling and support; and rebuild self worth to keep them from ever entering another violent relationship.
We are very pleased to include, for your review and consideration, a brief narrative overview of the work and needs of OMLF and an abbreviated budget, which will give a glimpse of the significant work we plan to fund by the end of 2010.

Trella's House
Purpose: For teenage (ages 12-20) victims or survivors of dating violence and abuse; will serve as a means of support and ultimately an all- inclusive facility where teens can find their way. Also to serve as a resource for parents who have lost children to dating abuse?
Foundation will provide:
- Shelter
- Personal items, clothes, food, etc.
- Counseling
- Mentor Program
- Daycare services
- Crisis Hotline
The following will be held to raise awareness and money:

- Speaking Engagements
- Various workshops
- Council Meetings
- High School visits
How will we advertise?
